Lex Counsel’s environmental practice is closely linked to the development of infrastructure projects of our clients.  The firm has successfully advised in managing procedures and relations with the corresponding public offices —e.g. Secretaría Técnica Nacional Ambiental “SETENA”— in charge of issuing the environmental permits and licenses as well as with other public entities responsible for supervising environmental compliance.

We have worked hand in hand with the environmental advisors (Regente Ambiental) for the projects, to ensure that their execution complies with the environmental permits issued by SETENA and the environmental legislation.

Our firm is fully aware that infrastructure projects with negative environmental impacts may have considerable implications with the public sector, the public, media and, most importantly, with lending institutions.  Therefore, special attention is given by a specialized group of attorneys that understand these implications and advise our clients to correctly manage the environmental issues.
